After a full week of testing, Blake Baggett arrived in Anaheim ready to do battle in the unique three main event races. His day started out solid as he put down the 10th-fastest qualifying time of the day and put him firmly into the night show. In main event 1, Blake used his exceptional gate pick to round the first turn inside the top three. He showed great speed as he fended off the competition to finish 3rd in main event 1.

After another good start in main event 2, Blake had to work from deep in the field after going down early in the race due to a tuff block on the track. He put his head down and proceeded to charge his way through the field to 10th place by the checkered flag, keeping him in contention for a podium spot heading into the final main event.

Blake came out of the gate on fire as he put the power down and rounded the first turn 3rd in the final main event of the night. Around the midway point of the race, Blake became entrenched in a battle for 5th place that lasted for most of the race. At the end of the night, Blake took the checkered flag in the 6th spot, earning him 7th place overall for the night. Blake now moves up to 8th place in the 450SX championship standings.

“My starts were on tonight,” said Baggett. “I had the speed in all three main events and felt good out there. It’s unfortunate I went down in the second main event as I felt we had a chance at a podium tonight. We’ll put in the work this week and come to Glendale ready to get on the box.”
