EAST RUTHERFORD RACE REPORT

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS headed back East one more time for the second-to-last round of the Monster Energy Supercross series as it visited MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ. Both team riders were on the gas this past Saturday, as both Davi Millsaps and Blake Baggett raced to top five finishes.

Blake Baggett had his starts dialed, and he battled for the holeshot in his heat race. Blake continued to ride strong, holding off the charge from behind to finish 2ndand transferring directly to the main event.

In the main, Blake rounded the first turn in 8th place. With the help of his WP Factory Services Suspension keeping him in control on the technical track, he started working his way up to the front. He made his way inside the top five and finished the night in 5th place, right behind his teammate. Heading into the last round, Blake sits 7th place in championship points.

“Tonight was a good night,” said Blake. “While the track was tough, I was able to work my way through the field and into the top five. I am ready for Vegas next weekend, and I’m looking to finish the season on the podium.”

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS now head to Las Vegas, NV, and Sam Boyd Stadium for the season-ending round of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross series.
